The overwhelmingly positive response to last year’s Gaura Purnima special series – Celebrating Caitanya Caritamrita – has given us great enthusiasm to plan another online Gaura Purnima series of discourses.
This year, in celebration of Srila Prabhupada’s 125th birth anniversary and the 100th anniversary of his momentous meeting with Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur, we will focus on Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhus declaration, “pṛthivīte āche yata nagarādi grāma/ sarvatra pracāra haibe mora nāma”.
Thus, we are calling this series “Every Town and Village – Going deeply into Srila Prabhupada’s principles and strategies for serving Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s preaching mission.”
The series will kick off with two talks by H.H. Bhakti Caitanya Maharaja on Nityananda Trayodasi, February 13 and February 14.
Then on February 21st, the Vyasa Puja of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur, we will conduct a full-day broadcast featuring the opening of the newly renovated Ultadanga Road property where Srila Prabhupada received the seminal order to preach in the West, 100 years ago this year.
Subsequently, from February 22 to March 17, we will broadcast daily talks by leading devotees around the world on how Srila Prabhupada established the foundational building blocks of ISKCON on the basis of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s mood, philosophy and strategies for propagating the sankirtan movement.
Each day we will explore new perspectives on topics like:
· Srila Prabhupada’s modern application of Mahaprabhu’s strategies
· Foundational outreach principles for every devotee
· Inspiration for meeting the challenges of successful preaching today
We believe that not only will this series be spiritually enlivening but will also help to strengthen devotees understanding and commitment to Srila Prabhupada’s preaching mission.
