Health Update on HH Bhakti Nityananda Maharaja, 11am, 1st June, 2022, Mayapur
Yesterday HH Bhakti Nityananda Maharaja’s condition had suddenly deteriorated. He had stopped talking and responding to any stimulus. Based on Maharaja’s clinical symptoms it had seemed he had another stroke.
After doing various other investigations, it was found his blood sugar was very high and there were ketones in his urine indicating it could be a condition called Diabetic Ketoacidosis, which leads to a comatose state. However, more investigations are underway to detect the exact diagnosis including the possibility of a stroke.
He was also diagnosed to have Urinary Tract Infection.
Treatment for the same was immediately started, yesterday afternoon.
Maharaja is being closely monitored 24 hours. Till now, his clinical situation showed no improvement. Today he has developed some fever as well.
Since Mayapur Community Hospital now has a CT Scan machine, a CT Scan will be done on Maharaja to see if he has had a stroke.
The international team of doctors who look after HH Jayapataka Maharaja’s health have been discussing about HH Bhakti Nityananda Maharaja’s situation with HH Jayapataka Maharaja.
Given the fact that Bhakti Nityananda Maharaja is very prone to stroke due to narrow blood vessels near the brain, the doctors weren’t comfortable with Maharaja undergoing the road travel to Kolkata. They also said the same treatment that would be done in Kolkata can be done here, as of now.
We are awaiting the report of the CT Scan.
We request the devotees to please pray for Maharaja. He came back to Mayapur few months back, as per his desire. He was steadily improving while he was here. This is a sudden setback. Please keep Maharaja in your prayers.
